The spookoscope

Hello, I am very sorry that I haven't posted for a while. This is my review of the spookoscope, a book that I don't like very much.

I’m sorry to say that I didn’t like this book very much because of two characters, Violet Moonbeam, and a very smelly ghost called Norman. I particularly didn’t really like it when Norman tried to haunt two boys called Oli and Skipjack. They were really scared.

I might not have loved this book, but I didn’t hate it. This was because I did find some of it a bit funny. For example, it was funny when Oli and Skipjack were staying over at Lord and Lady Spiffing’s castle. They didn’t want to get a haunted room to sleep in so they had to sleep in the Egyptian room instead – and it was haunted too!
Basically, this story is about a boy called Oli and his friend Skipjack (which is a name I’ve never heard of before). First, Oli and Skipjack take a trip to Lord and Lady Spiffing’s castle. Tara who is Oli’s sister and Tara’s friend Daisy do not believe in ghosts, but Oli does and Skipjack does too.
Oli has a bet about ghosts with Daisy and Tara, and I am not going to tell you who wins it! I don’t want to ruin the book for you. If you choose to read this book you might like it more than I did.
On the back of the book, it says that it will “appeal to anyone who loves Horrid Henry.” Well, I love Horrid Henry, and I didn’t love this!
